Markets report from Omaha Neb. with USDA prices for hogs and cattle. Hogs mostly down 50-75 cents, steers few offered, cows steady with utility and dairy cuts, sows mixed, sheep with limited activity and spring lambs at 46.00-46.75 per hundredweight. Estimated receipts Monday show 7,500 cattle and calves, 6,000 hogs, and 80 head of sheep.
Alan Kopetzky son of Mr and Mrs Ralph Kopetzky is a 1974 Leadership winner in Modern Woortmen of America Junior Service Club 29 Columbus. Modern Woortmen sponsors clubs nationwide. Alan won for outstanding leadership citizenship and service activities and was judged on a 50 word statement.
