Livestock quotations from Omaha show barrows and gilts 200-259 lbs steady with some early gains but late sales 25-50 lower for over 250 lbs. 1-3 195-230 lbs at 37.00-27.50, 230-240 lbs 26.50-2 240-250 lbs 26.00-27.00, 270+ lbs 23.00-20.00. Sows steady to 25 lower, 366 lbs 20.00-20.75. Cattle and calves price range noted with load finish heifers 40.65, utility and commercial cows 25.90-27.00, canners and cutters 22.00-25.50. David City High Graduation Rewards 64 Seniors

David City High School held graduation exercises for 64 seniors including exchange student Maria Campos of Brazil. Salutatorian Gary Dostal gave the welcome, Matt Foreman spoke for the class, and Valedictorian Sue Kaufmann offered the farewell. Harold Zinnecker awarded honorary diplomas. Principal Paul Chaney announced awards and scholarships ranging from Regents and community scholarships to music and educational awards.

Ministers honor Rev Phillip Todd amid farewell dinner

The Albion Boone County Ministerial Association held a farewell dinner for Rev and Mrs Phillip Todd who resign from the Primrose Presbyterian Church. They plan to move to Brackton Montana to serve a year at two Presbyterian churches before returning.
