83 year old John W. Parolek repaired Schuyler City Hall four sided clock and top bell. Police and mayor noted experts doubted repair possible and replacement would cost about 4000 dollars for an electric model. Parolek, a retired general clock repair hobbyist, began taking it apart and restoring it.

Holdrege Grain Elevator Explosion Injures Two Men
Henry Rader aged 23 and Warren Jones 31, both Holdrege residents, were severely burned in a grain dust explosion at the Holdrege Cooperative Equity grain elevator headhouse.
