In DAVID CITY the St Mary Cemetery School staff gathered for a school musical program where retiring instructor Miss Caroline Birkel was given a plaque for 21 years of service and Sister Carmen Moreno received a corsage for her 20th year jubilee.

A film was shown by Fr Ed win Albers and Mrs Leon Haschke reported on a deanery meeting at Krakow. Get well wishes went to Mrs Marie Muck Mrs Edwin Bender Mrs Frank Zach and Mrs Ed Pinger. A thank you note came for Circle 9 for a dinner and reception honoring the Franciscan nuns jubilees. Circle 10 will host a dinner June 7 for Fr Rollman’s 30 years as a Franciscan. Prizes were won by Mines Alphonse Lohaus Art Freed Viola Hastreiter Joe Kingelbert Alevin Eisenmenger Mary Toef tier Mrs Aloys German John Hastreiter George Hassenstab Tom Hastreiter and Mylea Wegener. The annual bazaar was set for Oct 6. Hestesser were Mary Jane Sanders and Karen Weidererand.
