Platte Center Junior Fire Patrol honors at graduation
Renee Jarecki named honorary chief for correcting 24 fire hazards followed by Keith Pillen as assistant chief with 23 and Cheryl Langan as captain with 16. Thirteen youths earned completion certificates as 10 hazards were corrected during the year. Sponsored by Platte Center Fire Department, graduates enjoyed rides on the fire truck and refreshments.

Senior Minnie Beard of Venicle Hills Girl Scout Council plans a Canada bound bus trip from July to July 17 visiting national parks in Canada and Wyoming.
