Rainy front crosses state bringing heavy showers
An active cold front moved into western Iowa after Tuesday night, causing turbulence and heavy rain across eastern areas. Showers and thunderstorms began Panhandle late Tuesday with a twister near Scottsbluff. Elgin reported 1.28 inches by midday and statewide lows ranged from 36 to 59 degrees.
