Mondale to Visit Europe for Rhodesia Talks
Vice President Mondale will tour Europe May 14 to May 23 to meet South Africa’s Vorster and British leaders, focusing on Rhodesia negotiations and broader U.S. involvement. The trip, Mondale’s first major assignment as Africa policy coordinator, follows Carter’s plan for a Vienna meeting and Anglo American talks in London.
