100th Anniversary Planned for St Edward Church
The First United Presbyterian Church of St Edward marks 100 years of worship on Tuesday May 11 with a Sunday May 9 centennial service led by visiting pastors including Revs Bolton Strong Neel Hicks and Roger and Pastors Cecil Green. Albion farmer John Barnes aged 32 died Monday morning four miles south of Albion after a tractor accident. He fell from a disc pulled by the tractor and was run over, with Barnes pronounced dead at the scene.
