Sohl Sr. of Benedict. The groom is son of Mrs. Henry W. Zabel and owner operator of the Hither or General Store in Columbus. They plan a June 4 wedding at Kirst United Methodist Church, Columbus.
Nine year old Janelle Houser of Douglasville Georgia a member of the Young Singers of Callenwolde will join President Carters Friendship Force cultural exchange. The group will live with host families abroad and perform concerts while an equal number of visitors will come here. Janelle was among 40 of 85 chosen for a prior five country European tour.
Mrs Mildred Wurdeman was elected president of the Emanuel Lutheran Evening Guild at the regular meeting Monday night. Dorothy Catlau is vice president, Garnett Goedeken secretary, Ciara Johannes treasurer, Fern Evans and Carolyn Siefken on the executive board. Pastor Goldhammer conducted the installation.
