Wily a ham and loin per lage of 50.20, a crossbred hog by Everett Holstein won first place in the Midwest Market Hog Show careass, breaking all records for ham and loin percentage. Calvin Scheer of Arlington previously topped with 48.40. Archie While of George A. Harrad & Co. Fremont and Pureline Hog Co. Columbus earned second place at 46.6, while Gale Janek of Braiard placed 24th at 46.51.

Administrators Named by David City Board of Education

The David City Board of Education re elected the administration for the next school year. Bevan remains superintendent, Chaney principal, and Arnold guidance counselor. The board also plans to hire an elementary principal to replace Helen Tinze who has served 12 years. Resignations were accepted for Glenda Misek Dixie Bird and Sally Pavlon. Richard Dinsdale’s teaching certificate renewal was verified. Bids for painting and window repair are set for April 8 at the high school. No curriculum change action was taken.
