Four Die In Northeast Iowa Air Crash
Four men died when their twin engine plane plunged into a farm field about six miles west of a northeast Iowa town near the Mississippi River. Victims were Gary D. Erbes and Jerome R. Logan of Council Bluffs, George Johnston of Brainerd Minnesota, and Gerald E. Gunn of Union Nebraska. Officials said the pilot owned the aircraft and that Aergo Inc. operated flight service from Omaha. Rescue crews sealed off the crash site as FAA and NTSB investigators began work late into the night.
