Putnam Receives Legion of Merit in Military Ceremony
Sergeant Major Charles H. Putnam was awarded the Legion of Merit in a Tuesday night ceremony before the 313th Military unit. Putnam, a decorated veteran of World War II Korea and Vietnam, has 134 years of service and is a native of Columbus. He is married to Catherine Hayes of Columbus and they have four children and three grandchildren.
