Fritz, 14, was captured near Belvidere Feb 7 and is charged with five counts related to the hostage episode at the Mellenbruck home. He is also accused of robbing the Mellenbrucks and of prior Nebraska offenses. The purpose of the examination is to determine competency for his defense.
