Cactus Flower blooms as Platte Valley Players shine
The Thursday night showing of Cactus Flower featured jitters fading as players grew into their roles. Carolyn Bantam impressed as the efficient nurse to Jim George’s dentist, with Cindy Rogers bubbly as Toni and Ken Bonk as the frustrated writer. Jolene Kasper delivered upper class humor, aided by Larry Kund and Paul Swanson. The cast, including Kathy Pilier Jerry Rouse and Samm Egger, plus the vivid set and lighting, drew laughs as the plot moved toward a lively record shop and nightclub finale. The audience greeted the pacey comedy with strong approval and more performances planned for tonight and Saturday.
