School lunches to rise in fall
The City Schools Board of Education decided Monday night to raise school lunch prices from 50 to 60 cents for students, with a proposed total budget around 25 to 26 thousand dollars, citing uncertain federal commodities and lunches served. The 1976-77 deficit of 13,541 dollars will be shared by taxpayers.
