Platte College plans fall housing for about 120 new students

Platte Technical Community College staff plan for housing about 120 incoming students for fall while July summer sessions bring a few. Red Cross Names Marsh and Lenske to Key Roles

David Marsh is named to a second term as Platte County Red Cross chairman at the chapter’s annual meeting at the Columbus Holiday Inn. Guardsmen Gather for Nebraska 110th Medical Reunion

Former members of A Company 110th Medical Regiment 35th Division Nebraska National Guard plan a reunion. Activities include afternoon sessions followed by a 6:30 p.m. cocktail hour and 7:30 banquet with short talks. Attendees include local men and out-of-state guests from California and Colorado.

Time capsule drive seeks more donations for Fourth of July burial

Weather Upsurge Forecast For Nebraska Tonight

United Press International reports a cold front and warm moist air may bring rough weather to Nebraska tonight. Thunder showers occurred Thursday night with Harbine recording about half an inch of rain. by midday activity ended in southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. Temperatures ranged from the 60s to the 80s with highs in the 80s to 90s anticipated.
