Market report from Omaha hog and cattle sales
Market results show hogs up to 1.00 higher with steady to higher openings, cattle and calves running about 25 higher futures, cows mostly 50 lower but steady at times, loads of high choice steers and heifers in heavy demand with prices around 43.25 to 46.00 per hundredweight, sheep and lambs strong to higher, with slaughter lambs and ewe prices varying and large estimated receipts for Tuesday: cattle and calves 5,000 hogs 6,000 sheep 500.
