Ghosts and vapors haunt 116yearold adobe in New Mexico
Western artist Gordon Snidow says his Belen home, built in 1860 by Don Felipe Chavez, occasionally shows unexplainable phenomena. A locked door opens by itself and rocking chairs move, lights appear, and vapor travels between rooms. Snidow and his family moved in 1970 and he once yelled at Chavez to knock it off. A vapor seen by his daughter and a babysitter last year vanished after the door was fixed and locked.
