Businessmen oppose IRS bill on selling mail lists
A National Business poll shows most businessmen oppose the Internal Revenue Service selling mailing lists derived from tax returns. Rep. Ken Hechler of West Virginia has introduced H.R. 16077 to ban preparing or classifying taxpayers for mail lists by income brackets and ZIP code. Nebraskan and national results show broad support for the bill and concern over privacy and junk mail.
