CAB Denies Frontier Rehearing in Columbus Service Case

Clearing skies over Nebraska after weekend rain
A slow moving cold front exiting eastern and central Nebraska left clearing skies. An off duty National Weather Service forecaster reported 2.1 inches of rain in southern Omaha during the 24 hours to 8 a.m. amounts in Omaha and eastern Nebraska mostly around one inch. The Nebraska Public Power District board approved a 101 million dollar bond sale to fund environmental controls plant improvements and system upgrades. The First Boston Corp led the syndicate offering a 6.9025 percent net yield. Parking meters go hungry in six month trial in Columbus
Columbus voters approved a six month trial of paid parking with two hour limits on downtown streets and free off street lots. Enforcement 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday, fines 2 dollars within five days and 5 dollars after. The budget for 1976-77 set at 9.3 million with a 20.97 mill levy.
