Plattsmouth Man Killed in Tractor Accident Near Murray
Henry Hild, 67, of Plattsmouth died while cutting grass on the shoulder of a Cass County road four miles southwest of Murray. Authorities said his tractor slid on an incline, rolled over, and pinned him beneath the machine.

Bomb explodes near Costa Rican envoy in Washington
A bomb exploded three feet from Costa Rican ambassador Rodolfo Silva as he walked from the embassy in Northwest Washington. The blast occurred at 5:08 p.m. EDT. An anonymous caller, identifying as "the Cuban Scarplan," claimed responsibility, saying the attack targeted Cuba riconition amid the OAS meeting in San Jose.
