Sandra McAuliffe and D O Connor wed in mid July ceremony
In St Isidore Church Von Henke officiated the wedding of Sandra McAuliffe daughter of Mr and Mrs Waller McAuliffe Schuyler and D O Connor son of Mr and Mrs Albert X O Connor St Marys City Md. The ceremony featured Rev Jerome Spencer, with Lincoln musicians and a full bridal party including Loretta Meduliffe maid of honor Lenny Reese matron of honor John Oui bridesman Jake Henke ring bearer and more. Bride wore a white sheer gown with lace and chapel train carrying white mums and blue carnations. Reception followed at the parish hall hosted by several couples and families. The couple plan a Colorado trip and will reside in Columbus.

Six girls compete for the 81-91 Pork Queen with the contest Saturday at the Happy Chef II Columbus. Sponsored by the 81-91 Pork Producers Association, Colfax Platte Madison and Stanton Counties, Mrs. Joseph Elbrucht of Howells is chairman. The queen is to be crowned at 7 30 pm Saturday before the Agricultural Park grandstand during the Plate County Fair. Entrants include Rachelle Baumert of Clarkson Sue Groteluschen of Columbus Sherrill Knapp of Battle Creek Jacquie Maca of Rogers Debbie Rinkal of Norfolk and Diane Wilke of Columbus.

Dorcas Society of the Baptist Church met Thursday in Creston with Mrs. Paul Gorman as reader. Guest was Mrs. Lela Larson. The August meeting may be at the park.
