Gas shortage cripples Kansas City area
AP reports widespread fuel shortages in the Kansas City metropolitan area as many stations ran dry or closed. Missouri Highway Patrol and Kansas City police logged numerous stranded motorists with some taken to stations open Sunday morning. Auto Club of Missouri noted only five stations open in Kansas City. suburbs had sporadic service. A reporter could not find any open stations after calling 30.
