The Red Cross Bloodmobile stops at Platte County Agricultural Park February 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and February 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rita Fleischer urges volunteers to help keep blood supplies adequate for surgeries and emergencies. Donors must be 17 to 65, in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and unmarried 17 and 18 year-olds need parental consent.

Albion family manages exotic menagerie on 36 acre ranch

Platte road plans okayed by Platte County supervisors
About two dozen Platte County residents attended the meeting led by Highway Superintendent Darwin Anderson. Supervisors gave initial approval to the hard surf plan but require cost estimates before final approval.
