Plan to help Nebraska colleges shed bond debts approved
Nebraska four state colleges won a plan to reduce debt service by converting dormitories at Peru State and Chadron State for PE use and other purposes. Peru would add Majors Hall and redevelop the campus facilities at a cost of 4.6 million dollars. Chadron would renovate Crites Hall with 75 thousand dollars plus 400 thousand already set for bond buyouts potentially saving seven hundred thousand dollars. President Pearson said Peru State could meet bonding requirements after adjustments.
