Markets in Omaha Nebraska show hogs up to 50 higher with various weights trading from 31.00 to 34.80 per cwt, sows 28.50 to 28. Cattle and calves mix with cows steady and dairybreds near 21.50 to 25.75, with 8,000 cattle and 7,000 hog receipts projected for Monday along with 1,000 sheep and 100 calves expected.
A search resumed on the Missouri River below Gavins Point Dam for 25 year old Roger Kathol of Hartington Nebraska presumed drowned after a boat overturned while being launched. He was paralyzed and wearing leg braces. Companion Daniel Mauch of Wynot Nebraska attempted to right Kathol unsuccessfully. The incident occurred on the Nebraska side of the river opposite Yankton.

Lincoln, Neb. AP report: LINCOLN resident LINCOLN Allen Decker, 28, paroled under a board policy allowing life term paroles for second degree murder if the sentencing judge agrees. Decker was 15 when he killed Edna Zajivek, matron at Whitehall State Home for Children, in December 1958. The board also paroled multiple inmates from Douglas, Lancaster, and surrounding counties on various charges, listing ages, home towns, and offenses.
