LOS ANGELES. The county Board of Supervisors Thursday approved the nation’s standards for controlling oxides of nitrogen from power plants. Existing facilities must be modified by 1974 to limit oxide emissions to 125 parts per million when burning natural gas and 223 ppm with fuel oil. No maximum emission guidelines existed before. Central Officer Robert Chassault said most boilers emitted about 640 ppm.
Boris Hopper, 31, an Angelles based director, filed for divorce from Molly Michelle Clan, formerly of the Mamas and Papas. The couple, who wed after eight days of separation, cited irreconcilable differences and reported they were in Taos when the suit was filed.
