Several accidents in and around Columbus injured people and caused damage to vehicles and property including a southbound intersection crash at 11th Street near 17th Avenue. Damages totaled over $3,350 with multiple injuries. Erwin Matulka of rural Valparaiso announced his candidacy for the 23rd District seat held by Sen. Loren Schmit.
