St Isidore Catholic Schools Week Activities Cancelled For Grades Four To Six

In observance of Catholic Schools Week the fourth through sixth grade classes at St. Isidore School have their Thursday afternoon canceled for the usual programs. Instead, multiple mini classes are planned including macrame masonry kniting card games beauty tips rocks Germany weaving and colored sand art plus a tour of the police station. First and second graders will present short programs and second and third graders will hear a rocks and shells talk. The sixth grade will tour Scotus school and a special liturgy Friday will include room representatives presenting symbols reflecting devotion to Catholic education.

Thone seeks meeting over Nebraska crop insurance halt

Rep Charles Thone of Nebraska requests a meeting with Agriculture Secretary Bergland to discuss USDA’s refusal to take new federal crop insurance applications for Spring crops in twenty drought hit counties.
