VA Disburses Over 100 Million To Nebraska Veterans In 1974

The Veterans Administration disbursed more than 100 million dollars in Nebraska during fiscal year 1974, up 15.7 million from the prior year. Director WV Campbell in Lincoln oversaw the largest share about 42 million in disability checks. About 244 million funded education and vocational rehab programs for Nebraska veterans, with 27.4 million for VA hospital operating costs. Remaining funds paid for insurance, indemnities, direct home loans, and related costs. Disbursements by county include Platte 1,273,412 and totals for nearby counties listed. A Crop Protection Clinic is planned for January 8 in Norfolk for northeastern Nebraska farmers and professionals. Kentucky held state elections by voice vote.
