County Democratic meetings planned across Nebraska

Mothers urged to report bus defects to consumer adviser
Washington UPI report says Mrs. Virginia Knauer urged mothers of schoolchildren to report defects in 1969 GM buses. She asked mothers to talk with bus drivers about any problems and noted a bus operator reported a rash of maintenance issues. Lincoln UPI reports two per cent of Nebraska corn remains to be harvested as snow and muddy fields slow cleanup. Field work last week focused on harvesting with some stalk shredding. Frozen soil hindered tillage. winter wheat and rye are in good to excellent condition and soil moisture is adequate statewide. Feed grain supplies are adequate to abundant except in parts of the north central area. hay and forage supplies are adequate with some central and north central exceptions.
