UPI reports Jacques Siboni, famed hair expert, developed a juice based shampoo for hair nutrition. He analyzes strands under a microscope, then blends fruit or vegetable juices into shampoo to treat varied hair problems using items like green peas or beans, celery, or cabbage.
Stromsburg Max Quick announces the American Legion post is sponsoring a petition for humane treatment of captured U S soldiers held by North Vietnam. Signed by Stromsburg residents, the petition will go via a Swedish ambassador to Sweden’s government urging intercession and mail flow to families. The document seeks impartial inspection, exchange of wounded and sick soldiers, and lists SL Richard Ratzlaff, long held captive, as a focused case.
Shelby Public School showcased its Christmas program directed by Mrs. Gloria Phillips and featuring soloist Susan Rosenberry, trumpet by Bonnie McGimpsey, baritone Bob Bucholz, piano by Mrs. Phillips, and band directed by Ralph Weinstein. The finale repeated musical numbers with Peggy Gabriel as accompanist.
Mike Welch of Farmland Industries spoke at the Bellwood Fire Hall on tractor lubrication Friday drawing a large turnout of farmers. Coffee and doughnuts were served as part of the event.
Schuyler High School music department staged the annual Christmas concert Sunday afternoon led by Mrs. Clare Easone and Davi Young. Debby Chalquist and Wanetta Salak assisted. Brass choir featured Mick White Vanetsa Salak Cheryl Hovorka Leslie Svatora Leroy Svatora Tom White and Larry Peterson with Mick White as trumpet soloist.

Seaman Michael Voss arrived from San Diego to spend three weeks with Robert and his wife. Engelbert Gabel and family left for Harlingen Texas.
Bernadette Devlin the 22 year old member of Parliament is imprisoned for six months after conviction on three counts of incitement to riot and one count of behaving riotously. Nine charges were dismissed and she posted bail. The case involves the Bogside inter religious clashes last August and could lead to possible expulsion from the House of Commons.
Mrs. Kenneth Taddiken has been a patient at Beblen Memorial Hospital for three weeks. While operating a combine early last week her husband sustained a serious arm injury and is recuperating at home.
In Grand Rapids Michigan a woman returns to find her car and trailer missing with her husband after the wire to the beds is moved. A note reads I’ve gone to age the USA alone. Police say the unidentified woman filed a missing person report Friday.
