FDA admits enforcement difficulty on artificial color labeling
FDA official Pat Adamo told UPI that labeling artificial colors on loose Florida oranges, red potatoes, and sweet potatoes is rarely enforced. He cited the need for state action due to limited inspectors and the impracticality of labeling every item or bin placard in produce aisles.
