Two Drivers Die In West Beatrice Collision
UPI report says two vehicles collide on a gravel road six miles north west of Beatrice at about 4 40 am Monday. Greg Miller 18 of Beatrice and Delbart DeBuchy 20 of Courtland died. Miller was driving a car that crossed the center of the gravel road and hit DeBuchy’s pickup head on. Each driver was alone in their vehicle. Sheriff Steinkamp noted it took about half an hour to free the drivers from the wreckage.

Surgeons at University Hospital performed seven hours of surgery on both arms and planned to remove the left arm later. Doctors hoped to realign nerves in the right arm and monitor recovery.
