Kenneth Remker of Immanuel Lutheran School spent five weeks this summer in an NSF sponsored Institute at Concordia College Seward. Columbus Couple Hospitalized After Sunday Auto Crash

A Columbus couple were hospitalized at Behlen Community Hospital with multiple injuries after a Sunday morning auto crash on 10th Avenue near 15th Street. Leonard Loseke allegedly blacked out, pushing the accelerator as the car struck a tree. his wife was unable to remove his foot from the pedal. The state patrol reported fractures and cuts for Mrs Loseke and unspecified injuries for Mr Loseke. A separate Saturday afternoon crash on Highway 81 near Clear Creek sent Duane Albertson to the same hospital with unknown injuries. A third crash on Highway 30 near Columbus involved Allen Anfierson and David Weaver with no injuries reported.
