Shelby residents recount a farewell for John Ulrichs hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Bil Kuenpf at their Goedehen Lake cabin. Ulrichs plans to teach next year after moving from 0 Wahoo. Local visits include Mrs. William Ruchel’s daughter in law, and friends from Bellwood to Lawndale and Council Bluffs. A group attended a Ladies League Golf and Bridge Party at Ryan Hill Country Club, with dinner after play.

Omaha Nebraska district judge Samuel Caniglia sentenced Hibbs to ten days in jail for contempt of court for failing to turn over a 1871 Cad- IMac and a 1971 Chevrolet truck to the Center Bank. The bank alleged a $934,000 note scheme. Hibbs claimed the vehicles were in his wife’s name. The judge gave Hibbs 49 days to purge but ordered jail until turnover. Mid-Continent Meals once operated in Omaha employing about 100. it ceased after a firing last October.
