Saturday events at United Methodist Church celebrated Charlene Potter upcoming marriage to Michael Gregory on May 28. Guests heard vocal solos, poems, and party games with prizes awarded to several attendees. A Beta Sigma Phi benefit bridge party supported the Columbus Opportunity Center, with Mrs. T J Lemke as general chair. Other club activities included DAR Auxiliary favors for Grand Island Veterans Hospital, a Bem open house for Behlen employees, and Immanuel Lutheran Fellowship League potluck and worship study. A Sunday shower honored Gaylene Boesch, and St Mary Hospital Auxiliary featured a candle making demonstration with plans for a May event.
