Platte College joins national study on cooperative education
Platte College is among 80 post secondary institutions chosen for a national study by Applied Management Sciences Co. from Silver Spring Md. AMS received a $500000 HEW grant to conduct the analysis. Platte will be surveyed Thursday and today by a two person AMS team assessing coop program costs, expansion potential, funding impacts, and career education effectiveness.

NPPD Chooses Sutherland Site for Second 450MW Plant
The Nebraska Public Power District board voted 9 to 2 to place a second 450 megawatt unit at Gerald Gentle near Sutherland after reviewing 30 sites and narrowing to three. The site is expected to have the least environmental impact with a target operation date in late 1981. the first unit is due spring 1978.

Rainfall Expected as Thunderstorms Move Across Eastern Nebraska
