Communists seize provincial capital near Xuan Loc

Two Columbus Families Welcome Vietnamese Orphans
Two Columbus couples Dave and Kathy Torezon and Ramon and Donna Belitz welcomed their new daughters, Viet namese orphans Jennifer Lynn and Shari Lyd, flown from Saigon last Friday. The babies arrived Tuesday after a rapid process starting with a 1 p.m. notification and 2 p.m. arrival. Jennifer Lynn is 14 weeks old, eight pounds, named Fhuong Ligh in Vietnam. Shari Lyd is a month old. Both babies traveled from Saigon to Travis Air Base, Denver, and then Omaha, then Columbus, joining five Vietnamese children in the area. The Spearhead in adoption efforts, Mrs. Coonce, along with Friends of Children in Vietnam, aided the families. Torczon noted fewer papers this time after earlier steps.
