A baby girl was born Thursday night at Boone Canty Community Hospital to Mr and Mrs Patrick Foss of Albion. The infant weighed eight pounds five and a half ounces.

The Browne family faced a harrowing sequence as five year old Mark A Browne with an inoperable brain tumor was declared dead, revived on life support, then again deemed clinically dead. His mother Sandy Kindred granted permission for kidney and eye transplants before his second death. The kidney recipient at a children's hospital was reported in good condition.
Mr and Mrs Bernard Clark and children from Lincoln spent the weekend with Mrs C K Nixon. They joined Mrs C P Nixon at Fullerton to help mark her birthday. Mr and Mrs Claus Ruschmann of Grand Island were guests of Mr and Mrs Ari Eschliman.
