Butler County Hospital plan approved by county board
The Butler County Board of Supervisors unanimously backed a $4.2 million plan to build a 33 bed county hospital in David City replacing the 25 bed David Guy Hospital. A May 41 special election will decide the measure. The county would own and run the facility with a 1.3 million bond to be retired in 15 years at a tax impact of about 11.65 dollars per year for a property valued at 14,284. Architects Reed Veach Wurdeman Associates. Land already donated. Overcrowding and limited space prompted the project.
