Local High School Juniors Named to Cornhusker Girls State
Four Columbus community juniors Julie Beckenhauer Carol Rush Donna Prososki and Janice Kallwell were announced to represent their area at Cornhusker Girls State June 5 11 on the University of Nebraska Lincoln campus. Sponsored by local American Legion Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of America the group includes alternates Colleen Tooley Tamara Averett Jeni Rice and Kathy Lindhorst. The program teaches government through mock offices and bills with 425 Nebraskans participating statewide.
