Special to the Morning Star reports Wesley Nading, a well connected local merchant, shot and killed his wife at their Flatrock home at 8 am, then shot himself twice. He survived with self inflicted wounds while Mrs. Nading died behind the ear. neighbors found the couple after the shots. The Ninety children and kin were described as a previously happy family.
A woman dies from two bullet wounds and her husband Wesley Nading lies near death after a shocking county crime. The couple left two children. Nading reportedly suffered a detached mental state and authorities fear he may not recover. The Nadings are prominent in Hope and Shelbyville with ties to the Cerealine elevator.
Mrs James Anthony died yesterday morning at her Chestnut Street home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The Sick Albert Wooley has an attack of the typhoid fever. The case as yet is not regarded as serious. Harry Young son of William Young of Maple Grove is quite sick with typhoid fever. Edward Jones has recovered from a five to six week illness with stomach trouble and fever and is able to be out. Friends note his absence has left the opera and ball game front tiers deficient but rejoice at his improvement. The Star chronicles his recovery.

Sheriff Lawrence of Richmond escorted Dan Smith to the South prison after a Columbus transit yesterday. Smith received a four year sentence for burglary.

Howard Duffy barely escaped being crushed when his hand slipped on the platform railings as the 10:25 train began to move. A porter attempted rescue but thetrain sped away, leaving onlookers astonished at the miraculous escape.
A state fish commissioner plans to burn fish skins in the county jail yard within a day or so to relieve himself of captured fishing tackle.
The Supreme Court sustained the state fish law upholding police power to regulate fishing gear. Judge Sweeney and deputies will destroy about seventy five seized seines and nets stored in the jail yard collected from various parts of the state. David Lewis was fined for possessing a seine and gill nets, challenging the law as unconstitutional.

Mrs Vincent Browning aged 32 dies at 3 am at the family home at 16th and Pearl after a months long illness with a recent relapse. Survived by husband and two children. Burial at Garland Brook on Sunday. See Lienberger for new goods.
