Case reported today about Mrs Jennie Alford who was stricken with fever yesterday. Her son in law Edward A Reppert fled north after packing his grip, leaving his wife to care for her mother in a strange city. Mrs Alford died this morning and was buried in two hours with her daughter prostrated.
Thursday Ella Miers was appointed guardian of Lila Simmons and Freda Simmons. The order designates Miers as custodian for the two minors and handles their welfare and legal affairs.
Constable Jos H Gable served a mandate for the arrest of Henry Sullivan who had unpaid fine stayed by Wilber Thompson. Sullivan is jailed. I P Taggart received a telegram from Oneida Ill stating Martin B Jackson, brother in law of Taggart, lay at the point of death. Taggart left Sunday morning to be with the dying relative. Jackson, once a well known and esteemed Nashville citizen, is mourned by friends and relatives here.

J N Marsh sues Pullman Palace Car Co for 1000 dollars claiming he was denied a bed in a sleeping car on a Nashville to Louisville trip, despite a valid ticket. The complaint says the denial caused mental and physical pain and two weeks of sickness. C J Kollmeyer represents the plaintiff.
