Coxey's New Party Forms After Two Day Conference
In St Louis on January 14 the Coxey conference formed a new political group the middle of the road People's party. An address of principles and an organizing committee were named with J B Coxey Carl Brown and others. A call to unemployed workers and support for Cuba were among actions and Nashville was invited for the next convention. The conference adjourned to meet in Memphis February 22.
