Dr. C. W. Ellison of Union has gone insane after extended x-ray experiments. The physician believes enemies are attempting to kill him by driving electric wires into his office. Since the discovery of x-rays he has spent days and nights in experiments, becoming a raving maniac.
North Prison directors consider keeping 100 convicts employed through “formal contractors” amid possible convict labor legislation. Brazil Indiana reports teen Ross Bryan fatally injured after leaping from Vandalia freight train. Gilmore family flees Richmond after exposing false assistance claims. Mary Jones of Liberty Center sues for divorce from Philip Jones in their 60s. Anderson sees window glass plants resume after seven months with first melt planned tomorrow.
George Bryan of Elm Springs Arkansas set a fuse in a well and perished when the blast discharged before he reached the top. The report from Memphis Tennessee December 12 notes the explosive accident left Bryan destroyed.

Unofficial tallies from Wuetina West Virginia at midnight show McKinley leading with 104 915 votes to Bryan 92 997 a Fording 1 207 Palmer 677. McKinley’s plurality stands at 11 487 from a total of 199 221 votes cast.
In Shelbyville near the city, Wade Bream's team bolted while pulling three tons of baled hay. Brant was trapped beneath the hay and suffered severe injuries likely to cause death. The runaway also struck Mrs George McCain’s spring wagon, throwing her out and causing fatal injuries.
