Ben Hutchins and Miss Ottie Coyrea head to Indianapolis this morning while several others, including Mrs. Chas Newsom and Mrs. Emma Curtiss, visit relatives and friends in nearby towns. Rev Jones of Jeffersonville is named to fill the local Methodist pulpit. Presiding elder removed Rev Frank Morris who will move to Kampton to accept a charge. Locals hoped Rev Morris would remain.
The Columbus Culture Club held a gathering with Mrs. Agnes Cochrane presenting a program titled Famous Bills read by Mrs. Lucy Clay for Miss Mary Long. Emma Lehman delivered Oui Humorists, Nina Hawley recited Fisherman Jim by Eugene Field, Lottia Arwine read Bill Nye, Anna McEwen read Bret Harte for Mrs. Hogue, and Mary Griffith read Mark Twain.

Henry Heckman and daughter of Seymour visiting. Miss Etta Kellenberger went to Jeffersonville. Dr Bart Fitzpatrick and wife with the Remys Sunday. Meekin Spinner to Jeffersonville reformatory. Lang block at Fourth and Franklin nearly painted. Y M C A Egg Social Monday night was enjoyed. James Petree visited town Monday. Billy Springer in town Monday for Republican work. John Igel of Waynesville visited the city. Mrs Nannie Maynard repainting her street home. Ferguson went to Vevay and Madison last night. Branham of Madison traveled to Indianapolis. E T Francis of Columbus was a Sunday visitor. John Craig ill at daughter’s home. Epworth League ascent to Clifford tomorrow at 6 30. Anna Winterberg visits Columbus for a few days. Henderson trial for killing Jack Hines set before Justice Carmichael Thursday. Joseph B Smith and wife of Queensville with daughter in North Chestnut street. Mrs Isaac Bradford paralyzed and not improving with only right hand able to move.
Mr. and Mrs. Faulconer from Columbus with their child stopped by the cemetery to feed the horse. The horse bolted, throwing Mrs. Faulconer from the buggy and injuring her shoulders while the child was unharmed. Mr. Faulconer was dragged, suffering minor injuries, and the buggy was demolished. They returned home after hiring a buggy at Spurlin's livery.
Rev. Wm Fisher and family were north bound passengers this morning. John Sargeant is able to be at his place of business again. Lou Mellinger and family returned to Muncie last night. Andy Hitchcock came down from Hope today at noon. Considerable work was done on the curbing today. Bud Davis of Petersville was in town today. E. Q. Butler went to Seymour this morning. A. Strauss went to Seymour this Miss. Gertie Myers of North Vernon is visiting her mother, Chas. Remy came down from Indianapolis this morning to visit his father. Miss Ray Kelley of Nashville came on Dernalls back last night and went to Indianapolis this morning. Miss Anna Jones of Taylorsville went to Jonesville this morning to attend the Convention. Mrs. May Ray of Shelbyville went to Edinburg this morning to visit her mother Mrs. Armstrong.
J. C. Boldt, Prudential agent, boarded a fast northbound train at Edinburg after buying a Columbus bound ticket. The conductor refused the return, Boldt refused to disembark, and Conductor Robinson removed him to the station platform. Boldt planned legal action against the railroad.
Mr George McGaughey now of Columbus mingles with old friends. Five room house for rent advertised by Kinney Kinney. Carriage shop on Fifth Street sees trees cut today. The First Baptist Church of Indianapolis will purchase 700 individual communion cups to ensure hygienic practice. Officials say the single use cups reduce disease transmission risks during sacred wine ceremonies.
The annual meeting of the Y M C A board of directors is scheduled for tomorrow night.
A county seller of stoves last spring faces a district court dispute over belliger ency with a rival company in the northern state. The case will determine legal questions about competition and conduct between the two firms.
