Hon P H McCormack names a large city committee of capitalists and professionals to support the G A R encampment. The piece asserts the 1898 Waymansville encampment will be well funded and successful. Also notes tax deadlines, local business ads, and newspaper publication hour changes.
Due to unavoidable delays in preparing annual notices and rooms, YMCA evening classes will not start until Monday evening Nov. 15. This postponement allows potential students to register and arrange plans. Grace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Waggoner of East Columbus, is dangerously ill.
Jake Chambers, adjudged insane by a lunacy commission, located after an escape, accuses A C Flannigan’s two sons near Elizabethtown of stealing H Griffiths clover seed. Flannigan confirmed with Griffith that no charges were made and Chambers plans to proceed to Columbus. He is sought for confinement in an insane hospital.
Edith Burnett sues Homer Burnett for divorce with W. W. Lambert as attorney. The case appears in a local notice referencing Geo. H. Cummins at 406 Washington St as a source for school books and supplies in New Suits.
Marriage License L. E. Slack and Mayme Shields. Chas. R. Hubbard and Gertrude M Till. Chambers Arrested Jacob Chambers was arrested at Elizabethtown this morning by Sheriff Cox and will be taken to the asylum probably this evening for treatment.

Mrs Elizabeth Whipker died Saturday at her Clifty home. Funeral at Clifty German church at 10 15 a m with house services at 9 45 Rev George Fisher officiating. Interment at Clifty cemetery. Mrs Elizabeth Pardick of Elizabethtown died Sunday at 10 am at home. Funeral at Jonesville tomorrow at 3 pm. Interment at Jonesville.
Trustee Jewell issued weekly township orders totaling 59.55 dollars with daily batches ranging from 4.25 to 16.80 dollars. Groceries for quarantined families accounted for 7.45 dollars. Notable city visitors included W J Newton, A C Flannigan, and Henry Tobrocke, with November first bringing continued rain.
County treasurer Rethwisch's office saw persistent crowds all day as taxpayers paid the second installment. Many visitors from distant areas were forced to wait late into the day before gaining admittance to the Treasury.
