Eugene Tuttle went to Indianapolis this morning. Mrs. C. Murray and children also traveled to Indianapolis this morning. Mrs. Ragsdale headed to Indianapolis this morning. H. M. Campbell was an Indianapolis passenger this morning.
Georgia Populists nominate Thomas E. Watson for governor at the state convention that adjourned after a long session. Though he has repeatedly declined, some believe he may consent to run.
Partly cloudy tonight and Friday with colder conditions in the far south tonight.
The McGaw King cards announce the approaching marriage of Sherman McGaw and Daisy King near Edinburg. Mr McGaw is a former well known law student here. The wedding will take place in about two weeks at the home of the bride to be's parents near Edinburg.
March 16 in Wayne report a pupil named Tommy Mullaney fell into the Mau river while six children walked to school. The frighted group delayed three hours before reporting. The body has not yet been recovered.
At Mare Island navy yards 400 men work on preparing the cruiser Charleston for sea. Start at 3 a.m. with a noon hour break, continuing until 10 p.m. Temporary electric lights are aboard the Philadelphia and it will soon be ready for active service.

Roy Smith aged about four months the infant son of Mr and Mrs James Smith died at his home on Jackson street Monday evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral was at 3 this afternoon from the house and burial followed at the city cemetery.

Jeffrey Newsom and Miss Laura Newsom were wed Wednesday evening at 7:30 at the home of Mr and Mrs Cader Newsom near Elizabeth town and Azalia. Rev Willis Lond officiated. The couple will reside on a farm near Azalia after formerly living near New Castle. The SraR wishes them happiness.
A severe hailstorm hit St Louis Crossing yesterday around four pm. Citizens report hailstones weighing up to two and a half ounces, thirty six panes of glass broken at one residence, and several horses knocked down by large hailstones during the peak of the storm.

Bloomington March 16 Jamee T. Thomas of Ellettsville on furlough from the regular army was shot in the legs last night while returning from a visit to his sweetheart Miss Berry. Her brother is under arrest charged with the shooting.
A March 16 semi official agency statement declares that Cuba cannot be sold. The message says the matter must be handled by parliament and that no Spanish chamber would agree to sell the island at any price.

Reeves and Co secure a contract to construct a twenty passenger motorcycle for H. C. Adams of Pierre, Dakota. The machine will run a nearly 200 mile stage from Pierre to Rapid City and is expected to weigh about two tons, likely the largest horseless carriage in the world.

Mr John McGlelland and Miss Anna Strawn celebrated their golden anniversary at 520 Union Street in the city. The couple wed fifty years ago at the Strawn home near New Philadelphia Ohio. Relatives and friends attended an old fashioned family dinner. The couple reared eight children, four living and married, with three adopted, and one child deceased. Mary Strawn attended the earlier wedding as the lone living witness.
