David Wright and his wife, a young married couple, passed through Peru on foot carrying satchels as they trek home from Missouri. They wed five months ago and lost employment when their employer failed. After five months on the road they have walked 515 miles and expect to finish their journey this week.

Stone throwing boy injures passerby at Maple Grove school

Yesterday afternoon a Maple Grove school pupil named Ferguson threw stones at passers by. One stone struck Rolla Heaton in the face breaking his spectacles and injuring his eye, threatening sight. The notice warns that mild remedies should curb such behavior or harsher measures may follow, lest harm to life and property occur and law be enforced.
